The bond is dying
Cold embrace of electricity
Fickle but vital
Obscuring the verity
With artificial projections
Lost in the maze of polished facades,
skewed and denialistic views
Giants shifting the onus down on our feeble shoulders
Endless coveting to fill the void at any cost
The one that was planted in us from the very beginning
Facing the greatest fear of them all
Conquered with a promise of kingdom come
We are burning and drowning ourselves alive
Even if this is all we have

Forgotten wisdom
Withered harmony
Forever shrouded in mystery
Deny what you cannot understand
Walls of stone and steel
Straight lines for crooked ideals
Blood and bones
Still bound to be sacrificed in the end
Into the dead of night
To where no pathway goes
Pave me the way with silver starlight
The moon is riding high
Here I shall lay my weary vessel
On a bed of leaves and needles
Mother take this offering
In death we shall unite
The sun will rise to a new dawn
Devoid of woe and tribulation
