Here I shall lay my weary vessel
On a bed of leaves and needles

Through years of famine and abundance
Many ages they have withstood and observed

Deep go their roots into this soil
Throbbing veins of the earth

Reverence born through death
The most sacred of rites

Countless passings I have witnessed
Cacophony of dying cells

Forgotten wisdom
Withered harmony
Forever shrouded in mystery

Deny what you cannot understand
Walls of stone and steel
Straight lines for crooked ideals

Blood and bones
Still bound to be sacrificed in the end

Into the dead of night
To where no pathway goes
Pave me the way with silver starlight
The moon is riding high

Here I shall lay my weary vessel

Mother take this offering
